the 'Stichting Voedselhulp Bulgarije' foundation welcomes you !

Our foundation is active for more than 10 years in the North-Bulgarian harbor-city Varna and we feel committed to the fate of the orphans, the sick and homeless children there. We try to lighten the suffering of these children wherever possible by providing medicine, clothing, food and toys.

This work raised from our thoughts after some tourists looked a bit further than the beautiful beaches at the coast of the Black Sea, and had contact with people from Varna who also felt committed to the fate of these children, after the fall of the communist system.

The work from our foundation is being done by only volunteers. They arrange and accompany a yearly transport to Varna. Of course with a close co-operation with the Bulgarian institutions but also direct with the hospitals and the orphan-homes. This to prevent the supplying of unnecessary and unusable goods. Also we try to follow this process closely and we try to prevent the abuse of given goods and means.

We obtain our financial means from gifts and by organizing different campaigns, like lotteries, card-parties and slide presentations. Besides that we have our yearly collection around Christmas. Thanks to these actions we were able to send the following goods:

MEDICINE - OPERATION-MATERIAL - INCUBATORS - BEDS - BANDAGES - MILK POWDER - POTATOES - CLOTHING - TOYS
